I lost my little finger to the first knuckle, the tip of my middle finger and damaged the ring finger, the company has admitted full liability, Any one had a similar claim? how much did it make?
You will not get a lot a few hundred £ at most. Lets face it you have been off work and receiving pay and will be able to continue work soon so thats not too bad.

mainly
Workers Comp. , covers you whether it is your fault or not. Check with a lawyer about your state laws or if you can’t afford one , one will be appointed to you.

I’m trying to be a lawyer but i don’t know how much a wrongful death lawyer earns( at least a week )? Or what he even does ( exactly what he does )
Lawyers make such a varying income that it is impossible to break it down to a weekly salary, wrongful death suits are handled on a contingency basis and the lawyer gets a percentage of the settlement those are so varied in the amounts that it cannot be calculated, lawyers work for an hourly wage but they only get paid when they are working on a certain case so once again impossible to predict, Yearly they will make from $150,000.00 to millions so good luck.~

I was in a really bad motorcycle accident last November that resulted in an ampuation. Because of this, I lost 6 weeks of pay and alot of mobility. I have accidental death and dismemberment insurance through AETNA, but I cant seem to get anyone from the insurance company or even my HR director to help me. What should my next steps be? Is it time to talk to an attourney?
You should outline the nature of your complaint in writing and send it to the insurance company. Give them a specific amount of time to respond (5 days, etc.) If they don’t respond, contact the Department of Insurance. You can get the number from the state government listings in your phone book. They will tell you how to file a formal complaint in the state in which you live, or will point you in the right direction. Attorneys usually take insurance claims on a contingency, and you may end up paying 1/4 to 1/3 of your total recovery in legal bills. I would hire a lawyer only if "self-help" measures don’t work. If you do hire a lawyer, make sure you retain one with experience in representing plaintiffs in health insurance claims. Good luck!

I got into a serious auto accident, not my fault and totaled the new car. I haven’t been back to work as of yet and have been going to physical therapy. Can I claim anything on my taxes for 2010? Thanks!
I haven’t settled anything yet. I’m just currently still going to therapy.
No. You must have a doctors certification for permanently disabled.

Months or years, unless they are really keen to close the matter.
The claim would generally be covered by the companies liability insurance and will support herds of lawyers on both sides for much time as your side tries to justify wads of dosh, and the Insurance company tries to minimise its liability and shift at least partial blame onto you.
Meanwhile HSE will be investigating procedures, who did what etc…

so I was in a car accident, and I can’t work for a few days because of that car accident, can I make a claim against the insurance company ? I drive a commercial truck, this lady hits me and put my truck in the shop for a month- which is about 26 works day. I can’ work because my big rig is out. Can I make a claim against the insurance company for lost of works compensation ?
If they cannot provide you with a rental truck and your truck is used for work purposes, then yes.

My wife had a medical procedure done (injection in her neck) where the most common risk is a dural puncture or "Wet tap." This is a .1-5% chance. She’s had multiple blood patches and no relief. The doctor has kinda blown off her follow up and after care. She has severe spinal headaches and is almost incapacitated and my have to go on disability. This has been on-going for almost two months now. She still is waiting to see a neurosurgeon. I am her husband and I am extremely upset. What is our recourse against this doctor that did this to her? I know this is not detailed medical info, but do we have a lawsuit here? I hope an attorney can give us some kind of idea. We live in Ypsilanti,MI
Most malpractice attorneys will give you a free consultation. I think a local malpractice attorney could let you know better than anyone on yahoo, answers. My general opinion is if the doctor did something negligent than you could have recourse, but it is dependent on the state, the circumstances, and the paperwork your wife my have signed to waive her rights.

Does anybody out there (lawyers preferably) know that statute of limitations for a wrongful death lawsuit for medical malpractice in California? Thanks!
The statute of limitations for medical malpractice in California is the shorter of (1) one year from discovery of the injury, or (2) three years from the date of injury.
